Ocean's work centers on a repeating painted structure he calls the SignatureWave™ pattern, a way of translating the invisible language of energy into physical form. Light. Sound. Radio. The frequencies that move through a day, made visible.

Each painting is made in a single sitting and reflects the state present at that exact moment. There are no reproductions. If the energy is not there, the work does not exist.

The act of painting is meditative. Standing in front of a canvas, the pattern becomes a direct record of what was moving through him at the time.
